WHAT’S NEXT

We’ve got a lot of awesome stuff planned, and we want you to be a part of it.

To quote Ted Lasso:
“What does this situation need?”

Living in Washington County (located in upstate New York, for those not in the know), we are surrounded by fiber…and frankly, have been for more than a century. Instead of massive textile mills employing entire towns, however, these days there are a lot of smaller fiber producers sprinkled throughout the countryside, and you know what? They’re doing AWESOME stuff. But sometimes they’re hard to get to…or even KNOW about.

Idlenot Fibersmith’s

Patron Saint of Awesome

That’s where we want Idlenot Fibersmiths to come in. We want to be a hub for local fiber producers and artists of all kinds…not to mention that awesome gathering space for people to get together and learn and laugh (and love? Wait, no. We’re not an aged wooden sign from the local big box store).

So, if you have fiber - hand dyed, handspun, you name it - or if you are a knitter, crocheter, weaver, felter, spinner, rug hooker, needle puncher - again, you name it - please: put us on your list. We want to help celebrate YOU, so we’ll work with you to consign your goodies and get them out to a broader audience: that adoring public who is just ITCHING to get their hands on your beautiful work. We’ll also offer a curated collection of ecologically and socially responsibly sourced yarns, tools, supplies, and kits, not to mention the awesome stuff we at Idlenot have loved making in OUR little corners of the world.

So, if you’re interested in joining the club, drop us a line. We plan on opening our brick and mortar in downtown Greenwich in the fall of 2023, and of course we’ll be selling online to the folks who can’t get here in person as well. And we want you to be a part of the awesomeness.
